Funds raised through sponsorships and from golf participants of the Charity Classic, supports the Women & Children’s Center at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. Welcoming more than 1,800 newborns in 2025, more babies are born at Wentworth-Douglass than at any other hospital on the Seacoast.
As neighboring hospitals close their labor and delivery departments, our region faces a significant gap in women’s healthcare, creating increased need for our services. Wentworth-Douglass has experienced a 59% growth in number of births in the last decade. With this growth comes a rise in complex cases that require specialized care and additional resources to ensure adequate care for both mother and baby. To meet this need, and with the support of our community, we opened a second operating room dedicated to the unique requirements of our Women & Children’s Center patients.

For years, our Car Seat Program has been a highly sought out resource for parents, grandparents and childcare providers in the community. We offer free monthly checks and inpatient checks as well as staff and patient education on the safety of a properly installed child restraint system.
Since launching in 2019, the Seacoast Babies App has been well-received by both patients and providers. The app will continue to be updated, providing patients with accurate information pertinent to their care.
Scholarships for children to participate in Pediatric Therapeutic Programs like art, music, swim and hippo therapy (horseback riding) are made possible by you.
We offer Maternal Mental Health Support programs which include Labor and Postpartum Doula Support for families in need, a weekly support group for women with postpartum depression and anxiety, bereavement coordination and more. We remain the only hospital in the area offering these services and the most comprehensive care for women in their childbearing years.
